Explore the Rame Peninsula on Foot

The Rame Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a landscape of tidal creeks, sandy beaches, lush farmland and country parks.

Small villages hide at the heads of creeks, waiting to be discovered, whilst Maker Heights and it’s surrounding area offers fantastic views, great walking along the South West Coast Path and close to one of the few surfing beaches in this part of Cornwall.

Five walks around Mount Edgcumbe and the Rame Peninsula.

The walks range from a circular jaunt taking in most of Mount Edgcumbe’s many fascinating attractions to a three-hour trek from Cremyll to Maker Heights, which rewards those who tackle the steep footpath with spectacular panoramic views of the Tamar, from Saltash across Plymouth Sound to the open sea.
