We’re committed to being a welcoming and safe campsite for everyone.

In the 1920s, Lady Astor brought children who had never had a holiday or enjoyed a swim in the sea to Maker Camp. In keeping with this important social history, we work hard to keep our prices affordable so that everyone can enjoy a holiday in green space.

We recognise the diversity of communities who visit and enjoy Maker Camp and believe that our campsite team is stronger and better able to offer greater benefits to our visitors if that diversity is reflected in our team.

We also keep 10 pitches open for walkers for one-night stays since finding short-term accommodation during the summer can be challenging. This is important when we have one of the world’s great trails on our doorstep!
