  • Wild Swimming

  • Cawsand has a sloping sand and shingle beach leading out into a designated swimming bay with marker buoys in the summer.

From the beach, if you go further afield than the swimming buoys, you can swim to Pier Cellars (about half a mile) or all the way out to Penlee Point (about a mile and a half) but need to beware of water traffic including Princess Yachts who test there superyachts in the bay.

"The photograph was taken in the bay of my home village of Cawsand, South East Cornwall. This is the third time I have swum with Dolphins To begin with I was a bit freaked by their size but they really just like to play. It's so exciting."
