Explore Maker and Rame

Surrounded by the ocean, Plymouth Sound National Marine Park and the Tamar Estuary, Maker and Rame Peninsula is a hidden gem in South East Cornwall.

There’s lots of way to discover the area on foot, cycle, segway, kayak or Paddleboard. Footpaths traverse the peninsula making it very easy to walk down to the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, across to the chapel at the iconic Rame Head and across to Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park.

The world-class 630 mile long South West Coast Path National Trail traverses the edge of the peninsula all the way round from Plymouth to Whitsand Bay and beyond.

Ferries connect the peninsular to Plymouth from Cremyll to Admirals Hard and Royal William Yard and from Cawsand Beach to the Barbican in Plymouth.
