33. Pets should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst on site. Please do not leave them unattended including in your tent or vehicle. There is a maximum of 3 dogs per booking.

Sustainability and Environment

We aim to be a low-key, sustainable campsite. We encourage all our visitors to do the following:

42. Save water by reducing water use on site – especially when taking a shower. A three-minute shower can save many litres of water. Please also be careful when using the washing up facilities in the common room. Switch off the taps when you’re not using them.

43. Use biodegradable shampoos and other products in the campsite facilities. This is best for the environment.

44. Carefully sort your waste – and use the recycling bins on site where possible.

45. Reduce use of single use plastics on site. Think about alternatives.

46. Avoid putting any of the following down the toilets: wet wipes, nappies, sanitary products. These are not only bad for the environment, but also clog up our sewerage treatment plant which was constructed in the Victorian age.

47. Campers can take their cars onto site. However, if you wish to use the vehicle free part of the campsite, please park your car outside this area on the main campsite.

48. All campsite visitors are requested to use the designated parking areas (primarily the main car park) when onsite. Outside the campsite, do not park on verges or grassy areas – these are managed for biodiversity and wildlife.

How was your stay?

47. Please feel free to comment in the visitor book in the common room. And do please add a review for Maker Camp on Trip Advisor.
